completely grounded, this is serious business, I feel like I am not stopping my self from shooting my self in the feet because of my laziness. so to that point, I'm reorganizing.

BLOWING IT!

I've stopped blogging. No idea why, but it happened.

Okay so to get down-n-dirty, this blog is going to be expanded. Not only am i going to be talking about the epic skate scene in North Side. But, i'm also going to blog about the skate scene all over Cincinnati, the awesome local music, local art, good places to eat and some skate tips, and hopefully picking up more followers.

P.S. I'm being a conformist, and signed up for twitter about 15 minutes ago.

UDF

okay, so here in the Midwest/Ohio region we have a store called United Dairy Farmers, this is the best store apart from any local African store in your neighborhood. if your a skater like me, you can never pass up the .99$ two liter deal, or the 2 for 2.45 sandwich deal. if you have a UDF next to your skate spot, you roll up 6 or 7 deep, get your soda, candy, food, beer and cigs(last two for some of the older skaters) and roll down to the block and skate some flat ground. If your lucky, your UDF might even have a skate spot like mine.

The moral of the story is, don't get stuck skating with no stores around, and if you don't have a African store around that's like a cheaper version of UDF, then hit up the UDF. and you don't have that, then your not in Ohio fool.

"local band of the week"

Okay, I want to kick off the local band of the week, changing it every Friday( excluding this Friday.) and I want to start with "Ill poetic" he's a local rapper and is pretty good, nice and mellow. something I think I could skate too, check him out.

Arkansas!

ah Summer, the time of sneezing, sleeping in, and wanting to see friends 24/7... Going to Arkansas for a week for summer! Should be fun... scratch that amazing. My brother Aaron has informed me that there is a pretty sick park there in Little Rock so i'm a little anxious and cant wait for the 13/h car drive up... or maybe its west? Well, where ever it is, i know my family will have mass fun!

Northside Farmers Market!

Hey guys,
There will be a half pipe up at the farmers market to help suppor the North Side skatepark! It should be ready to skate by 4pm. The guys from Fickle along with the guys I skate with and my self will be there skating. You should all come and skate and support the park, all the help the better. Just come out and skate and have fun!

North Side Skate Park

North Side skate park will be hopefully be conveniently on Colerain Ave. and Virgina Ave. Map below! This park is going to be tight and every one should contribute their thoughts and their time to help this thing get built. The guy running this up, I'm proud to say, is my own dad Lew Ross, owner of Fickle Skateboards Ltd. Check his blog out, FickleBoards.com. Some info about North Side: North Side has a great diverse community, I have never seen a community with such a diversity. We have the punks, the skaters, the gangsters, the gays, and the all around coolest people you could ever have in a community. North Side also has three local skate board companies: Fickle, Instrument, and Effort, all cool guys and great skaters.

Skating in North Side

So yesterday I met up with my buddy Tyler and we we're heading to his house to see none other then PRB (Punk Rock Ben), Cameron, and two other dudes Julian and B. We seshed tylers box pretty hard and I skated around like I do. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have kickflips down. If any one has any mobile, boxes, kickers they want to donate send me an e-mail, it would be greatly apreciated. Dont do crack kids, keep on skating.

Jamal Smith

This is one of my favorite skaters. Jamal Smith in my opinion has a great style and best of all, he skates to have fun. Some things to watch by him -- that I may be posting soon is his video part in 10.DEEP and also his check out his YouTube trick tip for the Tornado spin (big spin back disaster 360 revert out). Just this guy’s enthusiasm to skate makes me want to go skate hard.
